How to buy the right fresh air system?

How to buy fresh air system

A fresh air system can keep indoor air clean by sending fresh air to the room from one side of the room with special equipment and then discharging it to the outdoors from the other side with special equipment. There are many types of fresh air systems on the market, which can be categorized according to the method of air supply and also according to the method of installation. When choosing a fresh air system, in addition to considering the type, also consider the air volume, noise, filtration effect, heat exchange, and other aspects of the problem.

What are the types of fresh air systems?

According to the classification of air supply

1. One-way flow system

The one-way flow system is based on the mechanical ventilation system of the three principles of the central mechanical exhaust and natural air intake combined with the formation of a diversified ventilation system, consisting of fans, air intake, exhaust, and a variety of piping and connectors. The fan installed in the ceiling is connected to a series of air vents through the pipeline. When the fan is activated, the turbid indoor air is discharged outdoors through the fan via the suction port installed indoors, and several effective negative pressure zones are formed indoors, and the indoor air continuously flows to the negative pressure zone and is discharged outdoors, and the fresh outdoor air is continuously replenished indoors by the air inlet installed on top of the window frames, so that you can always breathe the high-quality Fresh air. The air supply system of the fresh air system, but without the need to connect the air supply pipe, while the exhaust pipe is generally installed in the aisle, bathroom, and other places where there is usually a suspended ceiling, basically does not take up additional space.

2. Bidirectional flow fresh air system

A two-way flow system is based on the mechanical ventilation system of the three principles of the central mechanical air supply and exhaust system and is an effective supplement to the unidirectional flow system. In the design of the two-way flow system, the location of the exhaust host and indoor exhaust outlet is the same as the one-way flow distribution, but the difference is that the fresh air in the two-way flow system is fed by the fresh air host. The fresh air host is connected to the indoor air distributor through the pipeline, and the fresh air host continuously sends the outdoor fresh air into the indoors through the pipeline to meet the needs of people's daily lives with fresh and quality air. Exhaust and fresh air outlets are equipped with air volume control valves to achieve indoor ventilation through the host's power exhaust and delivery.

3. Floor air supply system

Because carbon dioxide is heavier than air, so the closer to the ground the lower the oxygen content, from the energy-saving considerations, the fresh air system installed in the ground will get better ventilation. From the bottom of the floor or wall air supply port or the upper air supply port sent by the cold air on the floor surface spread out to form an organized airflow organization, and in the heat source around the formation of buoyant tail flow to take away the heat. Because of the low wind speed, airflow organization turbulence is gentle, there is no large vortex, and thus the indoor work area air temperature in the horizontal direction is relatively consistent, while in the vertical direction of stratification, the greater the layer height, the more obvious this phenomenon.

According to the installation method classification

1. Ducted fresh air system

Central piped fresh air system through the pipeline connected to the fresh air host, the system principle is, in the kitchen, bathroom installation of exhaust fans and exhaust ducts and other ancillary facilities, in the bedroom, living room installation of the air inlet. When the exhaust fan is running, the original indoor air is discharged, so that the indoor air generates negative pressure, and the fresh outdoor air enters the room through the air inlet under the action of indoor and outdoor air pressure difference, to achieve the purpose of indoor ventilation.

2. Monoblock fresh air system

Monoblock's fresh air system is a newly listed fresh air system product in recent years, including a wall-mounted fresh air system, and floor-standing fresh air system 2 products. Its main structure and the central air system are not very different, the difference is that the monoblock fresh air system does not require complex pipework, the installation is very simple, no matter whether before or after the renovation can be installed, and later maintenance costs are very low.

How to buy the right fresh air system?

1. Type

According to the home decoration, the room area that needs to update the indoor air quality, etc., you can choose the central fresh air, wall-mounted and stand-up fresh air system. Central fresh air systems using ceiling installation, the operation is complicated and need to reserve access ports in advance, relatively speaking, cabinet and wall-mounted fresh air system consumables replacement, post-maintenance, and maintenance is more convenient. However the central air system filtration and purification capacity is more significant.

2. Air volume

According to the area of the house roughly calculate the amount of fresh air required, with a set of area (minus the bathroom kitchen space, to avoid crosstalk) × house height × house hourly air change 0.5 ~ 2.0 times / h × 30% of the loss of air volume, resulting in the approximate amount of ventilation required to select the appropriate air volume of the fresh air system host. Such an indoor area of 80 square meters users are recommended to buy an air volume of not less than 300 cubic meters/hour of fresh air purification system.

3. Noise

Generally speaking, the noise of the fresh air purification system is directly proportional to the air volume, the larger the air volume, the greater the noise, so we need to find a balance between the air volume and the noise when buying fresh air, buy fresh air system, the maximum noise is recommended not to exceed 45 decibels, otherwise it will have an impact on daily life and rest.

4. Filtration effect

Reach the HEPA standard filter, for 0.3-micron filtration efficiency of 99.9%. The higher the filter level, the stronger the filtration effect. However, HEPA filter dust capacity is insufficient, the service life is limited, it is recommended to choose a combination of filters, assisted by multi-stage filtration, HEPA grade higher than the H12 fresh air purification system is preferred.

5. Heat exchange

To solve the problem of indoor temperature difference caused by air replacement on the human body and energy loss, can be through the energy recycler heat exchanger, recovery of indoor exhaust gas in the energy, the introduction of outdoor air heating or cooling, balancing the indoor temperature difference, to ensure that the temperature environment is comfortable, reduce the energy loss caused by air replacement.

6. Maintenance cost

After-sales and maintenance of fresh air products is also an aspect we are more concerned about, the biggest maintenance cost of the fresh air purification system is the replacement of the filter. If the filter life is over but not replaced, the fresh air purification system not only can no longer provide purification but also because of the accumulation of pollutants may become a new source of air pollution.
